At Nkongho-Mbetta Association, we are passionate about helping the Mbetta community in Cameroon to create a brighter future for themselves and their families. We believe that every person deserves access to basic human needs and we work to help the socio-economic hardlines for the geographic area. Our community-driven approach to development ensures that everyone’s voices are heard, and that we are working together to create initiatives that will improve the overall quality of life in the area. Climate change threatens every part of the planet. It’s a global problem that requires global cooperation.
Our Mission
We, the sons and daughters of Nkongho-Mbeng, Mbetta, resident at home and abroad (the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Italy etc.);
Disheartened by the tenacious socio-economic and educational challenges imposed on the people of Nkongho-Mbeng, Mbetta, as a consequence of their geographical location;
Determined to combat that community's further deterioration as well as the resultant rampant juvenile delinquency through projects that transform their environment into a worthwhile refuge area;
Inspired by the exhortation of His Holiness, Pope Francis that "rivers do not drink their own water; the trees do not eat their own fruits; the sun does not shine to itself; and, flowers do not spread their fragrance for themselves. No matter how difficult it is... life is good when you are happy; but much better when others are happy because of you"
