We, the sons and daughters of Nkongho-Mbeng, Mbetta, resident at home
and abroad (the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Italy etc.);
Disheartened by the tenacious socio-economic and educational challenges imposed on the people of Nkongho-Mbeng, Mbetta, as a consequence of their geographical location;
Determined to combat that community's further deterioration as well as the resultant rampant juvenile delinquency through projects that transform their environment into a worthwhile refuge area;
Inspired by the exhortation of His Holiness, Pope Francis that "rivers do not drink their own water; the trees do not eat their own fruits; the sun does not shine to itself; and, flowers do not spread their fragrance for themselves. No matter how difficult it is... life is good when you are happy; but much better when others are happy because of you" (Pope Francis, March 25th, 2017)
