At Ndeghe-Nfok Association, we are deeply committed to empoering the Mbetta community in Cameroon and buiding a brighter future for its resilient people. We believe that every individual deserves access to basic human needs, and we focus on our efforts on addressing the socio-economic challenges facing the geographic area. Our community-driven approach to developement ensures that every vioce is heard by working hand-in-hand with local stakeholders to co-create initiatives that sustainably improve the overall quality of life. It is important to note that this community does not have access to portable water, electricity… etc, not tomention the diplorable road condition which has been our primary concern since day-one following a landslide.
Our Mission
We, the sons and daughters of Nkongho-Mbeng, Mbetta, resident at home and abroad (the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Italy etc.);
Disheartened by the tenacious socio-economic and educational challenges imposed on the people of Nkongho-Mbeng, Mbetta, as a consequence of their geographical location;
Determined to combat that community's further deterioration as well as the resultant rampant juvenile delinquency through projects that transform their environment into a worthwhile refuge area;
Inspired by the exhortation of His Holiness, Pope Francis that "rivers do not drink their own water; the trees do not eat their own fruits; the sun does not shine to itself; and, flowers do not spread their fragrance for themselves. No matter how difficult it is... life is good when you are happy; but much better when others are happy because of you"
